Triad -- The Triad enjoyed the sun on Sunday. It will be out again on Monday as high pressure hangs on for one more day. Highs will be in the upper 40s tomorrow after we start out in the mid 20s.
Everything changes on Tuesday. A new system is approaching and will increase clouds Monday night. There's an 80% chance of rain on Tuesday. While it will feel wet and cold, temperatures will remain above freezing so winter weather isn't a concern.
Tuesday night and Wednesday will be colder. Temps will hover in the 30s all night and day. As a result, snow could mix in at times. While it looks like a decent snow storm could be shaping up for the northern part of Virginia, it doesn't seem that the Piedmont should have too much to worry about as far as accumulations.
We will continue to monitor the event for the next three days as it is an ever changing situation.
