Triad --  High pressure has been parked over the eastern U.S. all weekend.  It brought clear skies and highs in the 60s.  It will hold on one more day before a cold front brings cooler air.

Sunday night will be mild, despite the clear skies.  Temps will only fall to the low 40s.  As another low pressure system approaches from the west, clouds will increase on Monday.  There is a 20% shower chance in the afternoon but most places will be dry the whole day.

Monday night into Tuesday will be our window of opportunity for rain this week.  A cold front will pull into western North Carolina in the evening and the rain chance will last into Tuesday morning.  Most places will pick up a few tenths of an inch of rain through the event.

The rain will move out Tuesday morning and skies will clear quickly.  The sun will be back out by Tuesday afternoon and will stick around the rest of the week.  Highs will range in the mid to upper 50s through next weekend.
