Details are still being gathered, but WUSA TV is reporting that around 2:30 Sunday morning a man told police that he shot and killed an intruder inside his home in the 45900 block of Pullman Court in Sterling. While our crew was there, investigators returned to the scene and spoke with residents inside the shooter's home and people from a home two doors down, said to be the victim's home.

The Washington Post says the teen had been drinking and was dropped off at home by friends, but instead of entering his home he somehow got into the neighbor's house two doors down. Police haven't confirmed that information.
