Winston-Salem, NC -- More than a thousand students took part in a dance marathon at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, Saturday.
It was the school's 8th annual "Wake N' Shake" marathon. The goal is to raise $130,000 for the Brian Picolo Cancer Research Fund.
Students livestreamed the event for people who wanted to watch.
"Wake N' Shake" is the university's largest student-run fundraiser, started in 1980 in memory of Wake Forest All-American football player Brian Picolo.
Picolo died at age 26, during his career with the Chicago Bears.
Since the school started this event they've raised over a million dollars for cancer research.
