San Francisco, CA -- San Francisco-based bank, Wells Fargo, said in a report to the San Francisco Business Times that customers may have a hard time accessing their online banking services because of a cyber attack.
The bank told the Times their website is experiencing heavy usage, a trait likely to be a denial-of-service attack.
The Triad Business Journal said the nation's fourth largest bank, second largest in the Triad area, reassured customers that their account balances and other information are safe.
A Wells Fargo spokesperson told the Times that customers experiencing difficulty logging into their accounts should try again because the interruption is irregular.
