Kernersville, NC -- The Duncan family is still amazed that they now have five children. The family welcomed MichaelAngelo Duncan into the world just one week ago.

According to the C.D.C, about 49% of all pregnancies are unplanned in the U.S.A.

Angelica Duncan says they were not expecting another child but she still got pregnant on birth control. The birth control option give women less than 1% chance of getting pregnant.

"I had less than a percent chance of getting pregnant," said Angelica Duncan.

However, if pregnancy occurs it puts the pregnancy in the high-risk category. This could result in a miscarriage, preterm labor, or other complications.

The news of having another baby was very unexpected. Angelica said this is her third child but her husband has two of his own. Their family soon grew to five on March 22. That's when she came home and her water broke.

"I never made it to the hospital and my husband had to deliver our son on the bathroom floor," said Duncan.

The couple calls this pregnancy a miraculous birth because even though MichaelAngelo was unexpected he was the fifth child, fifth boy, and was born on their fifth anniversary. They were expecting their son to arrive sometime during Easter weekend.

Now, the family plans to spend Easter weekend prepping the new nursery. Mr. Duncan is completing his chemistry degree at North Carolina A&T. He's also a research assistant. After graduation, he plans to attend medical school.

"It's kind of neat when you think about the fact that, he delivered his own son," said Angelica Duncan.
