Thomasville, NC -- Family and friends of a Thomasville man hit and killed by a train came together to honor his memory.
Eighteen-year-old Paul Taylor was hit by a train Tuesday night while walking on the tracks in Thomasville. Police say he was listening to music on an MP3 player.
Friday night, his family and friends gathered in downtown Thomasville. They held candles, and shared their memories about Taylor's life.
Friends said he was on the wrestling team and had a gift of bringing a smile to people's faces. One of his classmates named Jennifer said, "He was always a happy person that I know of. He could make anyone smile." Another friend of his, Aaron Reeves said, "We would be in class together and he was on the wrestling team with me so we had a lot of jokes around a lot of laughs, and he was a positive person to be around."
