Triad -- High temperatures were actually average this weekend. Highs have been in the mid 60s both Saturday and Easter Sunday.
That's after a March with mainly below average temperatures.
According to WFMY Meteorologist Leigh Brock, we have one more day before our mild weather luck runs out. A cold front will move through tonight and bring a chance of rain- perhaps even a thunderstorm. However, this isn't the front which will drop the temperatures. In fact, it will be even warmer on Monday. Highs could close in on the 70 degree mark.
On Monday evening, another cold front will pull in. It is bringing an Arctic air mass. That will take highs back to the mid 50s on Tuesday and low 50s on Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday brings a 30% rain chance and highs will be struggle to make it out of the 40s.
Finally by next Saturday, highs could climb to near 60. That is still below average- but a step closer to spring.
