Greensboro, NC -- Greensboro fire crews were the scene of an apartment fire on Monday night.

It was a 2-alarm fire, meaning the crews on scene asked for extra units.

The call came in at the Ashley Oaks Apartments on Guilford College Road around 9:00 pm.

Investigators told News 2 that no one was hurt. The fire started in an upstairs unit.

Eighteen units have fire or water damage. The Red Cross helped the 25 adults and 10 children who were displaced.

The residents stayed in a nearby Comfort Inn on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Fire investigators still have not determined a cause. They hope to have that information by Wednesday or Thursday.

The property manager at Ashley Oaks Apartments told News 2 they are trying to find housing for all displaced residents at one of their Greensboro apartments.
