Hamptonville, NC -- A Hamptonville man was arrested Wednesday after deputies with the Yadkin County Sheriff's Office say he stole items from a family member and sold them to local jewelry stores.
A report for the missing items was originally filed March 27, according to investigators, when a homeowner on Court Drive contacted them about a break-in.
Deputies investigating the incident identified 33-year-old Cory Ashley Price, one of the victim's family members, as the suspect. They said Price sold the stolen jewelry to two local jewelry stores.
Investigators were able to recover some of the items and returned them to the owner.
Price was charged with Felony Breaking and Entering and two counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. He was released on a $20,000 unsecured bond.
