Sausalito, CA - One in five employees fear they could be laid off within the next six months, according to a recent survey.
Glassdoor, a jobs and career-focused media outlet, announced the results of its latest survey Friday. They said 2,054 adults 18 and older completed an online survey between March 20-22.
Despite 19 percent of those surveyed who fear their jobs may be terminated, 45 percent of the participants felt their company would improve in the next six months. Thirty-nine percent said they could find another job aligned with their experience and pay in the next six months.
Some employees, 16 percent, reported their employers revoked certain perks like commuter subsidies. However, 56 percent mentioned their employer offered new perks, allowing employees to work remotely or dress casually.
