Burlington Police ID Suspect In 2 Armed Robberies

Burlington, NC -- Police identified a man connected to two armed robberies that happened just minutes apart Saturday morning.

Officers said the first robbery happened at the Quickie Mart on Rauhut Street at 9:04 a.m. The second robbery was at Grill Works on West Webb Avenue - just six minutes later - according to police.

Police were able to identify the man as Donnie Lee Eastwood. Investigators said multiple sources contacted them after surveillance photos were released to the media.

Eastwood left the robberies in a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus with chipped and fading paint. The NC license plate reads YTN-6381.

Police said this car was stolen at 8:47 a.m. from the Biscuitville parking lot on North Church Street in Burlington - about 20 minutes before the first robbery.

Eastwood was armed with a knife in both robberies. He is wanted for one count of Armed Robbery, one count of Attempted Armed Robbery and one count of Motor Vehicle Theft.

Police said he was last seen walking on North Mebane Street and in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on Graham Hopedale Road.
