Greensboro, NC -- A Greensboro woman was arrested and charged Friday for a hit-and-run accident nearly two weeks ago that led to the death of a pedestrian.
Officers' investigation led them to Breanna Marie Newkirk, 23, in connection with the death of 39-year-old, Calvin Gerome Hendrix.
Police said community tips to Crime Stoppers, business surveillance video and witness statements helped them make the arrest.
Investigators said Newkirk hit Hendrix Saturday, April 13 just before 4:15 a.m. on High Point Road near West Court Street.
Newkirk is charged with Felony Hit-and-Run, Misdemeanor Hit-And-Run and Failure to Report a Traffic Crash.
Greensboro Police Department's Traffic Reconstruction unit is continuing the investigation.
