Triad -- A low pressure system brought rain for most of the day Sunday. Many areas picked up more than 1.5" of rain. The good news is that Monday won't be nearly as wet. The bad news is that the shower chance still isn't completely over.
As the low continues to make progress, the heaviest rain moves off to the east. We could still see a few showers any time during the day but it won't be an all day event like Sunday. The rain chance drops to 40 percent today. Highs will be in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Monday night will be mostly cloudy and mild again. Lows will fall to the upper 50s. There is only a 20 percent shower chance by then.
Beginning Tuesday, our rain chances fall to 20 percent. Highs will return to the low 70s for a few days before we drop back to the upper 60s Thursday through the weekend.
