Triad -- We have been below average all month, granted the month is only four days old, but we have been 10-15 degrees off the mark each day.
It doesn't look like a big change in the temperatures will take place until late week.
A low pressure system is just to our west. It will begin to bring rain to the Piedmont as early as Sunday afternoon. The rain should be on the light side on Sunday. The heavier rain will be here on Monday and Tuesday. We could pick up 1-2" by mid week. On top of that, winds could be gusty on Sunday and Monday.
The rain chance goes down to 30% by Wednesday.
The best days of the week will be Thursday and Friday. We should dry out and highs will finally return to average. We could even be in the upper seventies by week's end.
