Graham, NC -- A Silver Alert was issued for a missing 15-year-old girl, who authorities say might have a cognitive impairment and could be heading to Canada.
Anesuishe MakaMaka Kagura, who goes by the nickname, "Annie," was last seen Wednesday at her home on the 1100 block of Trollinger Road in Graham.
Investigators with the Alamance County Sheriff's Office said there was no sign of abduction. They believe she might be trying to go to Canada where her father lives. According to the alert issued by the NC Department of Public Safety, authorities believe Annie has dementia or another form of cognitive impairment.
A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said Annie is an African American teen with medium skin tone, about 5'3" tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. They were unable to provide a description of the clothing she was wearing, but they said she might have a pink book bag with flowers and could be wearing Nike or Sperry shoes.
