Triad -- Mother's Day turned out to be a cool one. The high was 69, compared to the average high of 77. The reason for the cool air is the cold front that moved through on Saturday night. A cool high pressure system moved in behind it and it will set up camp for most of the week.
For now, we are on the front side of the high. That means our wind will be out of the north. It also means our temps will remain cool for a few days. Highs on Monday and Tuesday will be in the mid to upper 60s.
By mid week, we will be on the backside of the high. That will pull the wind out of the south. Highs will quickly go from the upper 60s on Tuesday to the low 80s on Wednesday. We will stay there the rest of the week.
As for rain, our chances are the lowest they have been in a while. We could actually see the sun the whole week. Since we are almost 3" ahead on rain for the year, we can afford one dry week.
