Winston-Salem, NC-- Some Wake Forest fans paid for a billboard on US 52 demanding that Jeff Bzdelik and Ron Wellman be fired.
Brian Stratton is one of the avid Wake fans behind this campaign. He told WFMY News 2's Liz Crawford that it started when some fans bought an ad in the Wake Forest school newspaper.
Then, during the ACC Tournament, several fans donated money for ads in the local paper, News and Record. The ads proclaimed the same message: fire men's head basketball coach, Jeff Bzdelik and Wake Athletic Director, Ron Wellman.
Since then, the campaign has grown all over the web.

Public shame has reached a whole new level. On Saturday, May 11, a billboard was unveiled on US 52 in Winston-Salem, not far from the university.
It says: #BuzzOut, #FireWellman DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY, REWAKE THE NATION, www.fireronwellman.com
News 2 reached out to Wake Forest University about the billboard and other negative ads and forums.
Scott Wortman, Associate Director of Athletic Communications said the University is not commenting.
Wortman did tell News 2 that Wellman supports Bzdelik and they don't plan on firing anyone. At this point, the situation is unfortunate, but they're taking it in stride.
