Lexington, NC-- A family is being treated at a Triad hospital after their SUV flipped on I85 in Lexington Saturday afternoon.
According Trooper Sherrill with the NC State Highway Patrol, the accident happened on I85 south just south near the Cotton Grove Road exit. Sherrill said the driver ran off the road and overturned when the Ford Expedition blew a tire.
All seven people were transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem for treatment. One patient was taken by AirCare. Trooper Sherrill said none of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
The patients included two 10 year-olds, a 2 year-old and four adults ages: 43, 48, 42, and 23. Trooper didn't say who was driving.
The accident is still under investigation and no charges are expected to be filed, the Trooper said.
