Greensboro, NC-- A company the Greensboro Economic Development Alliance (GEDA) set its sights on five years ago has decided to stay and expand in Little Rock, Arkansas.
According to CBS affiliate, KHTV, Dassault Falcon Jet announced on May 29, a major expansion to their Little Rock completion center.
In a news release, GEDA said they worked closely with the North Carolina Department of Commerce and the Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI) for five years in an effort to bring the Falcon Jet expansion to Greensboro.
Dan Lynch President of GEDA released this statement about losing, but being a final contender: "Through the site selection process we got to know the Falcon team well, and gained great insight into their company, their incredibly high standards, and their constant pursuit of excellence, says Dan Lynch," President of the Greensboro Economic Development Alliance. "Speaking for the entire Greensboro team we thank the Falcon management team for the opportunity to present our community as an expansion location, and look forward to possible opportunities to work with Falcon in the future." "While disappointed that Greensboro is not getting this expansion project, we are very encouraged by the fact that Greensboro was a finalist community for this project."
GEDA said it applauds Falcon's decision to expand and congratulates the Little Rock economic development team for helping a major employer to continue to grow in their community.
