Triad -- The sun was shining for most of Father's Day. Temps were seasonable for this time of year. Highs were in the mid 80s. Now it is time for rain to return to the forecast. Good thing it's time to go back to work anyway.
A front is positioned to our northwest. As it sinks closer to us, we will be unsettled tonight and Monday. There is a 50% chance of showers for the next 24 hours. The best chance of thunderstorms will be Monday afternoon. Highs will be in the low 80s.
The first front will be weakening as it moves closer to us but there is a second front behind that one. The next front will keep us unsettled through Tuesday. The rain chance goes up to 80% on Tuesday, with more afternoon thunderstorms possible. Highs will be limited to the upper 70s due to more cloud cover and a higher likelihood of rain.
By Wednesday, things will begin to settle down. There is only a 20% chance of a shower and highs will be in the low 80s.
The second half of the week and next weekend are shaping up pretty nicely. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s, with partly cloudy skies.
