North Carolina could welcome more than 240 jobs thanks to GE Aviation, a company that makes jet engines and aircraft systems.
GE Aviation wants to expand at four facilities around the state. The investment would be worth $200 million.
The company would make advanced engine components at a new facility located next to an existing machining plant in Asheville. Durham, Wilmington and West Jefferson would also see additional jobs.
The potential project still needs financial approval of state incentives.
