Graham, NC -- A woman in Graham says a bear was sighted near Graham Middle School, Tuesday.
Ashley Lynch sent WFMY News 2 a photo of the bear on Melville Street. "The bear was in my husband's grandmother's tree around 5:30 pm," said Lynch.
Lynch told WFMY News 2 the bear remained in the tree until around 6:30 pm.
NC wildlife officials tell community members not to approach a bear if one is sighted.

There have been multiple bear sightings in Greensboro and Winston-Salem in the last month. Last week, two people saw a bear while walking on the Greensboro Greenway. Prior to that, a bear was seen at a Harley-Davidson store, an office park at I-40 and on NC A&T State University's campus.
At the end of May, there were five bear sightings in the Triad in five days.
