A pet food recall has been issued for Natura products potentially contaminated by salmonella.

The company announced the recall Tuesday. Among the products recalled are Innova, California Natural, EVO, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma dry pet foods and treats that expire before June 10, 2014.

It was not clear if any pets contracted salmonella as a result from eating their products. The company said the FDA detected salmonella on their products manufactured April 3.

Natura said in a statement:

Normally, this would have resulted in retrieval of product manufactured over just a few days. However, we are taking the additional precautionary measure to recall all products in the marketplace. Our first priority is the wellbeing of the pets we serve.

We are truly sorry. We know this news disappoints you; we are disappointed too. Natura will always focus on high-quality ingredients, product safety and innovation in pet nutrition. We remain committed to making products you can trust.

If you purchased any of these products you can request a refund or replacement voucher by filling out a form on their website.
