Asheville, NC-- The Sheriff's Office is looking for a woman investigators say stole a 98-year-old woman's purse and hit her with a SUV.
Deputies first received a call around 2 p.m. today from the Fast Break Convenience Store, located at 840 Emma Road. The suspect is described as a white female driving a late 1980s/early 90s primer black Ford Bronco with two doors. The SUV has a spare tire mounted on the back, and there is a cartoon stick-figure family sticker on the back windshield.
The suspect, according to the Sheriff's Office drove up beside a the 98-year-old woman, who was walking on Emma Road with the assistance of a walker, and snatched her purse. While stealing the victim's purse, the suspect hit the victim with the vehicle, authorities said.
The victim was transported to Mission Hospital for treatment. The suspect was last seen in the vicinity of Ingles on New Leicester Highway.
