Greensboro--Drier air has already started to filter into the Piedmont. This means a much drier and nice week ahead for the area.
The Bermuda high pressure has been located off the North Carolina coast for the past few weeks. It has pumped deep tropical moisture over the East Coast and brought a very wet pattern.
The high is now building back to the west over the Carolinas. this will force the deep moisture well to the west. This means drier and hotter weather over much of the Southeast including the Triad.
There will be only a 20% chance of an isolated afternoon thunderstorm Monday through Wednesday and a 30% Thursday through Saturday.
High temperatures this week will be in the upper 80's to near 90. Our normal high is 88, and our normal low is 69.
