Greensboro-NC--If you are tired of the 90 degree temperatures we have had over the past week, some relief is on the way.
A cold front will approach the area Sunday and is expected to become stationary along the North Carolina and Virginia border. Cooler and drier air behind the front will never make it to the Piedmont. Our cool down will come due to extra clouds along with an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Today we will see only a few isolated afternoon and early evening thunderstorms ad high temperatures reach near 90. Sunday and Monday the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase to 50%.
Temperatures will cool a few degrees on Sunday to near 88 and a few more degrees to 85 on Monday through Wednesday.
The normal high temperature this time of year is 88, and the normal low is 69.
