Greensboro, NC -- Supporters of Trayvon Martin planned rallies in at least 100 cities across the nation Saturday.
Here in the Triad, the Greensboro Chapter of the National Action Network is participating.
The Rev. Al Sharpton says the goal is to encourage the justice department to start a federal civil rights case in the death of Trayvon Martin.
The Greensboro chapter is meeting at the US Federal Courthouse Saturday at Noon.
That's the L. Richardson Preyer Building. It's at 324 East Market Street in Greensboro. Anyone can attend.
Organizers say they will discuss voting rights, the repeal of state and city laws similar to "Stand Your Ground" laws, gay rights, unemployment and underemployment and gun violence.
