Charlotte, NC -- A man in Charlotte was arrested for robbing an animal hospital, kidnapping an employee and leaving in a company vehicle, according to a WBTV report.

Robert Jolly Rinehardt, 53, went to the Freedom Animal Hospital last Friday. An employee told WBTV, "He said he had a dog that needed shots and he gave me a letter. When he gave me the letter was when he grabbed me and put his arm around me and put the gun to my neck and said where's your money."

Charlotte police said Rinehardt took money from the hospital and from the purses of the women who work there. He took a doctor in a company mini-van and tried to force her to pull money from an ATM, according to WBTV.

The doctor was not injured during the incident.

Rinehardt was involved in another robbery July 13. Police told WBTV he used a knife to force someone to withdraw money from an ATM on Welling Avenue.

Rinehardt was charged with three counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and three counts of Second Degree Kidnapping.
