Lexington, NC-- The US Marshals Office arrested a Triad man Monday morning, who police say is connected to an attempted murder investigation.
Jerome Demarco McNeil, 25 was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force and the Lexington Police Department. McNeil is wanted by the Lexington Police Department for Felony Conspiracy to Commit Attempted First-Degree Murder. McNeil McNeil was taken into custody at a house on Bridge Street in Lexington.
Investigators said McNeil is the third person arrested in this case.
The investigation started on June 4, when Lexington police officers responded to a shooting inside an apartment complex on Jamaica Drive.
Police said they found Ray Clodfelter with gunshot wounds. Clodfelter was taken to the hospital by EMS.
The other two people who have been arrested are: Laquanza Shanta Wilson, 34 and Michael Obrien McNeair, 24. Both were arrested in early July at a motel in Greensboro, police confirmed.
A fourth suspect identified by detectives as Alton Raymel Carney, 21 is still wanted by police.
