Thomasville Man Charged For Stabbing Dad With Pocket Knife

THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- An 18-year-old Thomasville man was arrested by deputies for allegedly stabbing his father with a pocket knife.

Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office were called to a home in the 200 block of Regina Drive last Saturday.

Investigators charged Andrew Dale Loflin with one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.

Deputies said Loflin was also reported for assaulting a handicapped person at the same address moments before the stabbing. He was charged with one count of Misdemeanor Assault on a Handicapped Person for that offense.

Loflin was taken to the Davidson County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court August 20.
