Triad -- A stationary boundary is parked just to our north. The Bermuda High is parked just off the east coast. Until one of them decides to move, our weather pattern is locked in place.
A breeze out of the south is forcing the warmth and humidity into the Piedmont. As a result, highs will range in the upper 80s this afternoon. On top of that, the high humidity will make it feel even warmer. Many areas will at least feel like the low 90s.
There is also the chance of rain. A shower is possible at any time, but the best chance for a thunderstorm comes in during the typical late afternoon to early evening time frame. The biggest threat from any storm would be the potential for heavy rain.
Sunday will be a similar day. Highs will be in the upper 80s with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms.
