Greensboro--Erin has strengthen to a tropical storm again, this is after it weakened earlier Friday afternoon to a tropical depression in the eastern Atlantic.
It still poses no threat to land. The storm's maximum sustained winds early Friday were 40 mph, with higher gusts.
Erin is centered about 625 miles (1,010 kilometers) west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands and is moving northwest at 16 mph (26kph) with a gradual decrease in speed forecast for the next day or so.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami says the storm is expected to change little in strength over the next two days.
