Greensboro, NC -- It's Thursday, are you asking yourself, "where did the week go"?

Ross Cox, a certified Business and Executive Coach with ActionCOACH showed us his calendar as an example of how not to allow the week to get away from us.

"You can't manage time, You can only manage yourself within the parameters of time."

Ross says, "we all need to learn how to manage yourself to the clock. When you mange yourself to a task, there are no time parameters so time is wasted and the task takes longer than necessary."

Ross showed off what is called a Default Dairy. It  lays out a period of time with important activities that allow you to move in the direction of your goals. It clearly shows his schedule of when he has conference calls, meetings, workshops. But also on his schedule are designated times to read and return emails.

"What you should strive for is about 40 - 50% of the time following this diary."

Of course you could adjust this for at home project time too. Plenty of us have wasted  weekends because you simply meandered from one thing to another.

"Tasks will take as long as you let them and then other things you want to do don't get done."
