CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Daredevil tight-rope walker, Nik Wallenda, will be in Charlotte on Thursday to announce plans for a performance before a NASCAR race.
Wallenda is scheduled to appear at Disc Plaza at 11:45 a.m. to talk about doing a skywalk before the Bank of America 500, October 12. He is expected to reveal a mystery guest who will be part of the performance at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
A speedway spokesperson said Wallenda will do a tight-rope walking demonstration at the Disc Plaza event.
Wallenda completed a 750-foot walk across Charlotte Motor Speedway, 100 feet above the ground, in October 2012.
Wallenda has also made headlines for walking across a gorge near the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls.
