Greensboro, NC -- Police were called to the scene of a train derailment in Greensboro Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the train tracks near the intersection of Spring Garden Street and Pomona Drive just before 11 a.m. Saturday.
Officers say the train's engine is still on the tracks, but a few of its cars are off track. The contents of the train are still unknown.
Police say there were no injuries reported in the incident.
Spring Garden Street, between Patterson Avenue and Merritt Drive, will be closed for an extended period of time. Police ask that drivers avoid the area while crews clean up the scene.
Norfolk Southern is investigating the derailment, and will bring in crews to remove the train.
