Greensboro, NC -- A Greensboro man is in a local hospital after an incident at his Adams Farm Parkway apartment complex.
Officers responded to the apartments at 1334 Adams Farm Parkway around 8:30 p.m. Saturday in reference to a man with a gun.
Witnesses told police the man was having some sort of emergency in his apartment and was holding a gun in a "threatening manner," according to a news release. That's when they left the apartment to call police.
When officers made it to the scene, they initially were unable to make contact with the man in his apartment. Police set up a perimeter around the complex and told other residents near the man's apartment to evacuate.
Several units worked together to eventually get the man out of his apartment without any issues.
Paramedics took him to a local hospital for treatment.
Police say no charges were filed in the case because the man was having a medical emergency. His name has not been released.
