RALEIGH, N.C. -- Police say a man has been arrested in a weekend break-in at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Resources in Raleigh.
State Capitol Police Chief Glen Allen said that 23-year-old Joshua Matt Pace of Raleigh surrendered to officers Sunday night. Allen says Pace turned himself in after pictures from surveillance cameras were broadcast.
Pace is charged with breaking and entering and damage to property. It was not clear if he has a lawyer.Allen says no other suspects are being sought.
The new wing at the museum was closed Sunday while police investigated the break-in. Officials said nothing was stolen but the area suffered minor water damage from a sprinkler system.
The new wing was scheduled to open Monday.
