Police Investigating Robbery At Greensboro Kmart

Greensboro, NC -- A man is in custody after Police say he robbed a Greensboro Kmart and threatened employees with a knife.

Greensboro Police responded to the Kmart at 1302 Bridford Parkway at 6:20 p.m. after employees said they saw a suspect attempting to leave with store merchandise. The employees told police they approached the suspect and asked for the merchandise back.  The suspect then pulled out a knife and threatened them.

Officers in the area stopped the suspect in his vehicle after he left. Andy Jack Warner, 36,  was taken into custody and charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and other charges.

The stolen merchandise was also found and returned to Kmart, Police reported. No store employees were injured.
