Greensboro, NC--High pressure that is nearly stationary over the area will keep Piedmont weather warm and dry through Sunday. A cold front will move into the area Monday and remain over the area into Wednesday before dissipating.
A tropical system may develop in the Gulf of Mexico and merge with the cold. If this happens, deep tropical moisture would bring a good chance of showers Monday and Tuesday. the track and development of this system is still in question and will be monitored closely.
We will see a mix of sun and clouds today with a high of 84. tonight will be partly cloudy with a low near 60. Friday and Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high both days near 85.
Sunday should be dry for much of the day. However showers chances will increase in the late afternoon and Sunday night. the high Sunday will be near 82.
Scattered showers are expected on Monday and Tuesday as the cold front stalls over the region. High temperatures monday and Tuesday will be in the mid 70's.
