Greensboro, NC--High pressure at the surface and in the upper atmosphere will remain over the area through Sunday. This will keep warm and dry conditions over the Piedmont through the weekend.
The remnant low pressure of Tropical Storm Karen is expected to track through Central North Carolina on Monday and Monday night. Rain will spread over the area Sunday night with pockets of heavier rain expected on Monday through Monday night. It is still too early to forecast rainfall amounts, but a 1' to 1.5' rain is possible. Amounts will depend on the exact track and speed of the system. Stay tuned.
Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 86. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low of 62. Clouds will increase on Sunday with a high of 85. There will be a chance of showers late Sunday afternoon, with a more general rain spreading over the area Monday through Tuesday.
