The U.S. Supreme Court will not take up the Duke University lacrosse players' lawsuit to pursue federal civil rights claims. The players were at the center of a rape allegation scandal five years ago.

According to Reuters, the players' civil rights claims would have been against police officers for way they handled the investigation.

The players were cleared of rape allegations five years ago.
