It is literally a fight for every pound so far during my "Weigh 2 Go" journey to lose 100 lbs.

I started this journey in June weighing in at 244 lbs. and so far after stepping on the scale this morning have lost 17 lbs. That's a lot less of me. I've been experiencing somewhat of a plateau these last couple of weeks. I never thought the plateau would come this quickly. I thought I would lose more than 20 lbs. before that happened so it really has caught me off guard.

In the past, a plateau would set me back and cause me to go off course. So I must remember one thing during this time and that's "I got this!" I have to learn how to be my own best cheerleader. That's something I've learned mostly from my "Weigh 2 Go" fans on Facebook and on Twitter. I'm truly thankful for your support. You all show up in such amazing ways and help push me through this fight! But being my own best cheerleader is going to take a lot of work on my part, frankly it just scares me. But then again this entire process is about learning, growing, and changing. I can't wait to learn how to be my own best cheerleader.

So let's hear it for 17 lbs. gone and a big hooray for all the other pounds waiting to be lost! My journey is just getting started.

You can follow my journey on Facebook at Carrie-Hodgin just like the page to get updates. I also want to hear about your own journey and struggles so make sure you share it with me. You can also follow me on Twitter @Weigh2GoCarrie
