BURLINGTON, N.C. - Burlington Police arrested four people accused of illegally using electronic machines and devices for sweepstakes.
Police say they conducted a two month investigation after receiving complaints that a Burlington business, "85 Business Center" on Erica Lane had video sweepstakes machines.
The four arrested are:
- Jackie Delayfette Robinson, employee
- Randy Poteat, employee
- David Paul Hagie, owner
- Carl Grayson Dockery, owner
The are each charged with: violating "Electronic Machines and Devices for Sweepstakes.
Burlington Police say they will likely investigate more businesses suspected of illegally operating sweepstakes machines.
