LEXINGTON, N.C. -- Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man for a crime that happened in May.

According to a copy of the arrest warrant obtained by WFMY News 2, 19-year-old Dustin Leonard was the caregiver of a 1-month-old infant on May 4. Deputies received a call that the child was injured.

The warrant states that Leonard was the boyfriend of the baby's mother when the incident happened. Leonard's address is listed as homeless on the warrant.

The sheriff's office isn't releasing many details about the case, but they did confirm that they found multiple fractures on the infant during the investigation.

Last week, detectives consulted with the District Attorney's Office and Leonard was charged with Child Abuse.

The baby's injuries listed on the warrant included: skull fracture on left side of head, fractures of both legs, fractures of ribs and many more broken bones.

Leonard was placed in the Davidson County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.
