GREENSBORO, N.C. -- It's October, the time of year when ghost tales and haunted places hoard conversations.
Almost everyone has heard of a 'haunted' place and each place has a story of why and when it became haunted.
The Carolina Theatre in Greensboro has two ghost legends. A construction worker fell to his death in 1926 while helping construct the theatre. In 1981, a woman hid inside and stayed overnight after watching a movie. Officials say the woman died in a fire that she set.
WFMY News 2's Eric Chilton spent the night inside the Carolina Theatre to see if stories of it being haunted are true. The Carolina Paranormal Society led the investigation and found that a NEW spirit resides there.
