GREENSBORO, N.C. -- High pressure will remain over the area through Saturday night. A dry cold front will cross the area on Sunday. High pressure will build back over the area for early next week.
Friday and Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high of 56, and 59 on Saturday. Under a clear sky, a chilly night is ahead with lows around freezing.
The cold front that will move through the area will produce northing more than a few clouds mixed with sunshine. The high on Sunday will be 64.
Monday will be mostly sunny. Clouds will gradually increase Tuesday. The high both days will be near 62.
Many questions remain regarding the system for Tuesday night and Wednesday. A strong arctic cold front will approach the East Coast Tuesday. Low pressure is expected to form on the front as it approaches the Piedmont. The track and strength of the low, along with how much and how quickly cold air arrives will determine if the Piedmont will receive rain Tuesday night with a possible change over to snow on Wednesday.
