GASTONIA, N.C. -- Police in Mount Holly police are alerting parents after an unidentified man tried to lure children away from a bus stop two times last week.

The Gaston Gazette reports that police think the suspect is the same person who is believed to have grabbed a 10-year-old boy in McAdenville on Nov. 9.

Mount Holly Police Chief Don Roper said on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, children were waiting at a bus stop on a residential street when the suspect approached them. Both times, Roper said the man attempted to lure the children into his vehicle by saying he had alcohol and that they should skip school and party with him.

Roper said the suspect also offered pornography to the children, none of whom approached the man.
