Man Charged With Buying Stolen iPads, Laptops

MT. AIRY, N.C.-- A man is facing charges for knowingly purchasing and selling stolen electronics, police say. Tuesday, the Mount Airy Police Department arrested Bradley Joseph Beasley, 26, on several charges involving stolen items.  

According to investigators, Beasley purchased 11 stolen iPads, four stolen laptops and one Tablet. All the items had been stolen from the Virginia Tech. Campus, officers said.

Detectives did not release the name of the person who sold Beasley the items.  

After purchasing the electronics, detectives said Beasley then sold some of them from his business, the Smoking Tobacco Pipes & More on West Lebanon Street in Mount Airy, NC.

Investigators said they were able to recover all the stolen items.

Beasley was charged with:

  • 5 counts of Felony Possession of Stolen Property
  • 3 counts of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretense
