Two Recount Requests In Trinity

TRINITY, N.C. - Two elections in the City of Trinity were so close
that two recounts are scheduled for this Friday.

Mayor Carlton Boyles requested a recount after losing the election to Fran Andrews.  The Randolph County Board of Elections told WFMY News 2 that Andrews received 398 votes, while Boyles received 390 votes.

Steve Lawing requested the second recount.  He lost the election for Trinity Council Ward 2 to incumbent Barry Lambeth.
Lambeth received 498 votes,and Lawing received 494.

Both recounts will be Friday, November 15th at noon at the Randolph County Board of Elections.
